Care and Counseling Department

Care and Counselling Department has been officially established since August 1999 by the Executive Committee of Karen Baptist Convention (KBC) in order to respond the needs and challenges of the community and church members across the country. The purpose of the department is to take care and support people who have been oppressed in many different ways and suffered from mental issues. The objective of the department is to take responsibilities and actions on behalf of KBC, especially in caring and counselling ministry. There are six core activities such as health care, orphanage care, oversea worker care, prison care, and counselling and legal aid actions. The department also implements other projects and programs related to health care and social support, in cooperation and collaboration with other organizations

Strategy 3- Fund Raising and Donor Relation

Objective 3: The projects are increased as the relationship and communication is better with donors.

Finding consultant and writing proposal
Accounting workshop, IFR course, Book keeping training in VHC level, Financial management and fund raising for orphanage supervisors
Information sharing
Distribute department pamphlet, visible aids, websites, Facebook groups, Linkage, networking with suitable partners for our program based on community needs
Close contact, Visitation, Communication

Strategy :4- Awareness Program: Awareness raising concerning Laws to KBC and communities.

Objective 4: The communities are educated to increase in the knowledge of State law and thereby knowing their right so that the social justice is improved.
